The Library Associates went on the road to New York on October
14 to cosponsor a screening of Alexandra Pelosi's Diary of
a Political Tourist at the Time Warner Headquarters in New York City. The
Associates' partner for the event was the Georgetown Entertainment
and Media Alliance (GEMA), founded in 2002 by Richard Battista
B'86 to connect members of the Georgetown community involved in
the entertainment and media industries worldwide. More information
about GEMA is available on their website at www.gema-hoyas.org.
Ms. Pelosi created and produced Diary of a Political Tourist,
the HBO documentary billed as "a road trip with the Democratic
hopefuls." Directly following the screening, a dialogue
with Ms. Pelosi was moderated by CNN National Correspondent
Kelly Wallace.
Ms. Pelosi is the daughter and sister of three Georgetown alumni,
though she herself is a graduate of USC's Annenberg School
for
Communication with a Master's Degree in Communication Management.
