Newsletter/zine reviewing Internet culture, technology, tools and
commerce. Their opening statement:

This is War!

You may have noticed the tank in the opening graphic of (Re)Scribe. Well,
it's a jungle out there. And this is war. Watch out you don't take a
bullet in the back. Don't fall in. After all, the Internet may be a
mirage.

Really, instead of an oasis with shimmering water, we probably should have
created a graphic image of a hall of mirrors in an amusement park
funhouse. The net is certainly made-to-order for the hype-ster.

Yet, the challenge and the excitement of this new medium is in direct
proportion to the turbulence that it brings to all existing media. The
Internet and the Web (they are not the same, you know) are the ultimate
wild card. Government can't control it (at least, so far) and business
doesn't understand it (at least, so far). Those folks who do may be
sitting next to you at dinner. The trainees are running the show . . . or
soon will be.

Contains reviews of sites and discussions of the business and educational
applications of the Internet, with a cold-eyed skepticism.
