AUSTIN, Texas (November 26, 1996) -- 15 minutes Press, publisher of
Austin's funky and irreverent cultural broadsheet "15 minutes," today
unveiled its new web site at:

 http://www.15minutes.com

"No longer is '15 minutes' just a big piece of paper with words on it,"
says publisher Benjamin Serrato. "I'm proud to announce that '15 minutes'
is now cluttering up the electronic superhighway, too."

"15 minutes" has been produced, published, and distributed biweekly in
Austin since 1994. "Austinites are voracious readers, and all our
distribution stands empty out quickly," says Serrato. "Fortunately, it's
impossible to run out of issues on the Web. I'm just bummed that the
electronic version can't be folded to make a nice paper airplane like the
 printed version."

Each edition of "15 minutes" comprises one feature essay, such as:

 * "Carpet Burns and Heart Attacks" by David Quin
 * "Headless Body Found in Topless Bar" by Robert Manning
 * "How I Survived Life Without TV" by J.C. Shakespeare

"15 minutes" also contains regular columnists, such as:

 * Gerg & Zub's Fast Food Review: our low-brow restaurant chain critics
 * Count Vernon Von Tulip: pseudo-astrology for the astronaut age
 * Bleacher Bob: our gonzo-like fan reviews sports from behind his TV dinner
 * Mudflap Girl: our hit n' run sex advice columnist

"The '15 minutes' stable of thoroughbred writers are chomping on their
electronic bits, ready to gallop down the infobahn," said Serrato. "I have
no doubt they will finish up in the winner's circle, not in a jar of
 Elmer's glue."

Initially, the web site will be updated on a monthly basis.
