Dear Fellow Educator:

The National Student Research Center (NSRC) at Mandeville Middle School
in Mandeville, Louisiana is pleased to announce the publication of its
latest issue of the electronic journal of student research entitled: THE
E-JOURNAL OF STUDENT RESEARCH. Several databases of student research in
all areas of the curriculum are also available. The research abstracts
are written by students in grades K - 12 from across the country.

In addition, program development materials are now available for
teachers who are interested in utilizing the student research and
publication process in their classrooms. Detailed information about the
NSRC and its instructional approach may be obtain with brief downloads.

The E-Journals and databases are housed in the NSRC's Electronic Library
located in America Online's Electronic School House (KEYWORD: ESH).
Once in the Electronic School House, PC and Mac users should select the
PROJECT LIBRARIES icon. Then highlight NATIONAL STUDENT RESEARCH CENTER
for access to the Library. Users can then highlight journals or
databases listed on the menu and get descriptions in order to review
titles of research abstracts before downloading. Additional titles can
be reviewed by selecting MORE at the bottom of the menu.

The E-Journals and databases are an excellent classroom resources for
students as they develop their own unique research topics and projects.
Student researchers may also replicate the research projects described
in the enclosed abstracts. This is especially true during preparations
for the Science Fair and Social Studies Fair.

Students interested in publishing abstracts of exemplary research
projects which follow one of the scientific methods in the E-Journal or
databases may submit them for review at the following screen address:

Teachers interested in utilizing the Student Research Center approach to
