Project Earl will provide libraries with the support they need; encourage 
an expanding base of information, and develop the structures for advanced 
public and technical services. More broadly it aims to foster development 
and initiatives among all participants across the network: collaboration 
is the key. The project has been developed by a preliminary planning 
team, all active in the development of library networking, and from the 
views of early contributing members. 

Project Earl publishes an online newsletter free of charge, which reports 
on the progress of various Project Earl endeavors and informs the 
institutions that are affiliated with Earl.
