MESH:film/video/media/art, is the journal of Experimenta Media
Arts. Since 1993 Experimenta Media Arts has been regularly serving up
Australian and international readers with the latest in media arts,
covering what's new and what's hot in film, video, interactive and
digital media, performance, sound, installation and innovative visual arts.
MESH explores the creative dimensions of film, video, sound,
performance, installation and electronic multimedia art. This exploration
seeks to go beyond reportage by encouraging critical discussion and
debate about these artform areas and related policy issues and cultural
imperatives. MESH is the only Australian cultural journal which actively
reports and investigates multimedia and other digital artforms, artists,
events and issues.
Rather than simply responding to current artistic output and
cultural issues, MESH aims to set agendas by encouraging provocative
discussion, illuminating new ideas, discovering emerging artists and
critically reviewing new work. MESH consistently offers a tasty menu of
in-depth essays, articles, reviews, news and views of the latest in
Australian media art and the most significant international developments.
MESH is adding new sections for its readers; these include a
Feedback column, and appropriate product, book and commercial media
reviews. Back issues are now available on-line and all future issues will
be published in both hardcopy and electronically.
