Hugh Pearman is the architecture and design critic of The 
Sunday Times, London, author of 'Contemporary World 
Architecture', published by Phaidon, a lecturer, teacher 
and broadcaster. 

This site is an archive of his critical writings on 
architecture and design around the world. All of it was 
previously published in numerous media, mostly lay press 
articles. There is also information about the book, a 
lecture on urbanism, and details of an exhibition of 
British Millennium projects. 

Gabion is maintained by the author as a simple, free Net 
site: each article is illustrated and linked back to the 
index.It is intended as a resource for all those interested 
in architecture and design.
