Kacike: Journal of Carribean Amerindian History and Anthropology is a
journal that is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals which
can be found at this site: http://www.doaj.org/
This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and
scholarly journals.
KACIKE welcomes the submission of papers of any length that seems
reasonably justified, in any branch of Anthropology, Archaeology and
History that pertains to Caribbean Amerindian societies, communities,
groups, organizations, individuals, either past or present.
Contributors should aim to present their material in a form that is
accessible to a broad social science readership so that the
publications may be of maximum educational utility and allow for
dialogue across the boundaries of specializations and subdisciplines.
Submissions are considered for publication on the understanding that
the author retains copyright and that the paper may be revised and
republished by an author subsequent to publication in KACIKE.
Publication in KACIKE may be considered, therefore, as a "preprint".
Kacike is an interdisciplinary journal that welcomes contributions from
across the social sciences and the humanities, with a particular focus
on archaeological, ethnographic, historiographic and sociological work.
The Editors encourage contributions from writers with a variety of
perspectives as long as their contributions meet the primary criterion
of being serious treatments of serious topics and issues of
significance, do not simply restate extant research, and represent some
advance in the state of current knowledge or thinking on topics or
issues of relevance to this journal.
