M@ppemonde aims generally to work toward the improvement of geographical
knowledge and information on the lands and the territories. It is
particularly interested in the geographical images in all their forms:
charts, sketch and cartograms, models, representation of satellite data,
SIG, photographs, animations, etc. It is not restricted to a discipline and
wishes to continue to publish, as it already did in printed form, the
documents and the articles in the various fields of ecology, archaeology,
sociology, art, architecture, etc.

M@ppemonde is addressed not only to researchers, to teachers and to
students, but also to those in charge of studies: the local authorities and
the companies, with all those which have to work on the territory,
installation, the environment, the localization, and with all those which
are curious about the configurations of the planet and the human activities
on Earth.
