Education et societes resulted from meetings initiated by the Comité de
recherche "Modes et progrès de socialisation" de l'Association
Internationale des Sociologues de Langue Française (AISLF). These meetings
mobilized many researchers and contributed to the examination of the
sociology of education over the past 15 years.

The goal of Education et sociétés is to place the results of these
discussions at the disposal of a large audience and to maintain the debate.
