The primary task of the Bulletin is to report major happenings in the
physics community defined by the Association of Asia Pacific Physical
Societies (AAPPS), to bring to the attention of the scientists in the region
those events or activities which take place outside the Asia Pacific region
but which may have important bearings on this community, and to publish
scientific articles which, in our judgment, may interest physicists
worldwide.
