The Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) consists of basic research into the
history of the ocean basins and the nature of the crust beneath the ocean
floor.

The Scientific Results of the Proceedings volumes is published 36-48
months post-cruise and contains peer-reviewed scientific papers.
