Oceanologica Acta is a scientific journal of French origin, with an
international audience and the following characteristics:

 publication of the results of works in every oceanographical discipline,
relating to any sector of the oceans, including estuaries and brackish
waters.
 interdisciplinary contents: the articles cover more than one domain of
oceanography, without formal distinction between results of a fundamental
order and results of an applied order.
 original articles, short notes and review/synthesis articles. All articles
are peer-reviewed by international experts in their fields.
 the journal publishes on a regular basis special issues devoted to reports
on symposia.
