Occupational Medicine is an international peer-reviewed journal, providing
vital information for the promotion of workplace health and safety. The
journal is published by the Oxford University Press for the Society of
Occupational Medicine

Topics covered include work related injury and illness, accident and
illness prevention, health promotion, occupational disease, health
education, the establishment and implementation of health and safety
standards, monitoring of the work environment, and the management of
recognized hazards. Contributions are welcomed from practising
occupational health physcians and research workers in related fields.

Occupational Medicine online contains abstracts and the full content of
each issue of the journal, including all figures and tables. Full text of
each article is available as a PDF.

Abstracts are available online from February 1, 1992 issue (Vol. 42, Num.
1). Full-text content online begins with the February 2001 issue, (Vol.
51, Num. 1), and will expand with each month's new issue. The March 2001
(Vol. 51, Num. 2) issue is the latest issue online.

Each issue will be placed online approximately on the date it is mailed to
subscribers; therefore the online site will be available prior to receipt
of your paper copy. The next issue is scheduled for online publication on:
May 30, 2001. Online readers may want to sign up for the "eTOCS" service,
which will deliver each issue's new table of contents via email.

The Web site also provides access to information about the journal (such
as Instructions to Authors, the Editorial Board, and subscription
information and subscription ordering), as well as access to other
services.

Subscription access to full-text is by institutional license, which comes
with all institutional subscriptions, or is included with individual print
subscriptions. Browsing of tables of contents and abstracts, and
searching, is free to all on the Internet.

The site is being produced in conjunction with Stanford University's
HighWire Press, which also works with other medical and life science
research journals that may be of interest, such as: Occupational and
Environmental Medicine, the British Medical Journal, Toxicological
Sciences, International Journal of Epidemiology, Journal of the National
Cancer Institute and Health Promotion International.
