Oceanological and Hydrobiological Studies is an international journal
published by the Institute of Oceanography, University of Gdańsk in Poland.
The journal publishes original research articles, short communications,
reviews and book reviews. The journal has 4 issues per year and contains
papers on all aspects of the marine environment and hydrobiology. Organizers
and coordinators are advised to contact the Editorial Office, regarding the
publication of special issues covering symposium proceedings or the results
of particular research programmes.
All manuscripts are reviewed by editors and independent experts. Based on
the referees' recommendations, the Editor will make a decision on whether to
accept a contribution. All articles are published in English.
Categories of Contributions:
* Original research papers - should contain the results of experimental,
empirical field data and/or theoretical studies that have not been
previously published elsewhere, except in the form of a preliminary
communication (reprint requested).
* Short communications - like original research papers, should also contain
original results, but must be narrowly focused, brief descriptions of
research that is sufficiently time sensitive to warrant rapid communication.
* Reviews - Should contain a critically written discussion of results from
studies under a particular topic or group of related topics. reviews may
also provide the readers with an insightful introduction to new and
ground-breaking areas of research.
* Book reviews - Author will provide a critical evaluation of the work
within its literary genre or academic discipline.
