For a long time, we observe increasing interest in qualitative 
sociology. There are more and more frequent endeavours to understand 
human actions, reconstruct social processes, to make an interpretative 
description of meanings and definitions which emerge from interactions 
or even to discover new interactional theories.

In order to enable a free flow of information and to integrate the 
community of qualitative sociologists, we have decided to create an open 
access, international scientific journal.

The first volume will appear in year 2005. There will be published 
empirical, theoretical and methodological articles applicable to all 
fields and specializations within sociology. Every submitted paper will 
be blind reviewed and quality-controlled by two reviewers and the high 
scientific quality level of the journal, remains in charge of the 
Editorial Staff and Consulting Editors.

All sociologists for whom interpretative paradigm and qualitative 
research methodology are basic perspectives of investigation of a social 
world, are welcome to submit their articles and support our initiative.

Qualitative Sociology Review is the journal of Symbolic Interactionism, 
Grounded Theories, Social Worlds/Arenas Studies, Action Studies, 
Biographical Analysis, Conversation Analysis, Collaborative Social 
Research, Content Analysis, Discourse Analysis, Deconstructivism, 
Ethnography, Ethnoscience, Ethnomethodology, Evaluation Social Research, 
Hermeneutics, Hollistic Ethnography, Institutional Ethnography, 
Phenomenology, Phenomenography, Narrative Studies, Naturalistic Studies, 
Social Anthropology, Qualitative Case Studies and other qualitative 
orientations within social sciences.
