ultiBASE
http://ultibase.rmit.edu.au/
ultiBASE publishes original research, work-in-progress, personal
reflections and interviews. ultiBASE is not a regular journal, but a
resource site focusing on teaching and learning in Business, Art, Society
and Education. As such articles are continously added as they become
available. Articles on the site are arranged by author and discipline area
for easy browsing.
ultiBASE is about university learning and teaching in Business, Art,
Society and Education. ultiBASE specifically covers the seven
discipline areas of: social sciences and communications, business, art,
design, education, humanities and environmental design.
ultiBASE provides information in three ways by:
1.linking to existing knowledge on teaching and learning;
2.publishing new information and materials on teaching and
learning; and
3.creating networking opportunities for academics interested in
teaching and learning.
Underlying all this is feedback and discussion by the users of the
site: academics and other people interested in teaching and learning.
The ultiBASE vision:
ultiBASE will be an innovative, responsive and effective contributor to
the formation of university teaching as a profession. It will provide
original resources on teaching and learning in the discipline areas it
covers, links with other sites and resources and a theory of professional
development. It will become a noted electronic Internet publisher by
providing:
* an interactive forum for the discussion of teaching and
learning issues
* information about conferences, courses and
teaching materials
* refereed and moderated contributions on teaching and
learning research and issues.
It will foster within the community of university teachers an
understanding of the conditions conducive to effective learning.
