Under the Western Sky is free monthly webzine of astronomy, folklore,
skylore, and history for the the Western U.S.  including the Mountain and
Desert States, the Great Plains, Texas, California, and the Pacific
Northwest.

Check the Sky Journal section for current celestial happenings.  Sky
 Journal features both an on-line version and a printable, calendar-type
 version. 

                            
Sky Lights this month features the bright and solitary star Fomalhaut,
 which is easily visible on clear October evenings. 

                            
Calendar is a fully hyperlinked listing of birthdays, anniversaries, and
 events pertaining to science, the West, and modern culture.
