Undercurrent; the Private, In Depth Guide for Serious Divers.
http://www.undercurrent.org/
Undercurrent is the only ad-free, consumer publication for sport divers.
Since 1975 it has provided unbiased reviews of scuba diving resorts,
operations, and equipment. Undercurrent Online extends this in several
directions.
Welcome to the online edition of Undercurrent, the diver's source for
unbiased reviews of dive destinations and equipment. Here you'll find the
kind of rock-solid info you'll never see printed in those other dive
rags--you know, the ones that are crammed so full of advertising you'd
swear that the sun shines on every resort and every piece of equipment is
an award winner.
Undercurrent accepts no ads.
Undercurrent Online gives you late-breaking news about diving and sample
articles from recent issues, such as the Insider's Guide to Grand Cayman,
which will help you choose the best dive operators if you're a serious
diver. While the content will be updated regularly, we'll always give you
the basics, like excerpts from the latest issue of Undercurrent,
information about the newsletter, an index of articles from back issues,
and information about how (and why!) to subscribe. Current subscribers
will be able to change their subscription address and correspond with the
subscription department. And we offer an e-mail list for timely
announcements for sport divers, and links to some other dive-related web
sites. The navigation bar at the top of this window can help you get
around our site easily.
But what you'll find here now is just the beginning. Our goal is a modest
one: we hope to make this the most useful and trusted tool for sport
divers the world over. For a preview of what we have in mind, try
imagining you're planning a dive trip--trying to decide where to go and
which resort or live-aboard is the best choice. As fellow divers we know
that where you spend your hard-earned money and well-deserved vacation
time is more than a tough decision -- often, it's a gamble. But instead
of spinning the wheel, what if you could type in one key word--say Grand
Cayman--and have at your disposal not only every Undercurrent article ever
printed that mentions Grand Cayman, but also every Grand Cayman review out
of the thousands printed in Undercurrent's annual Chapbooks? Wouldn't that
help take the guesswork out of your next trip?
That's part of what we have in mind for the next stage of our web site.
And there's much more to come.
