Publisher: John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
Yeast is a journal published for the international community of yeast
researchers. It contains original research articles, reviews and short
communications on all aspects of Saccharomyces and other yeast genera. The
topics covered include: genetics; genomics; molecular biology; cell and
developmental biology; biochemistry; physiology; pathobiology;
biotechnology; ecology; taxonomy; and evolution.
The journal contains two special sections: Sequencing Reports and Functional
Analysis Reports. These deal, respectively, with the systematic analysis of
the sequences and function of genes and genomes. In addition, the journal
promotes the collegiate activities of the yeast research community by
publishing announcements of Meetings and Courses, as well as the Abstracts
of major conferences.
Yeast also has a Current Awareness on Yeast section that provides a
comprehensive survey of recent publications on yeasts. Thus, Yeast focusses
on the most significant developments of research with unicellular fungi and
is essential reading for those wishing to keep up to date with this rapidly
moving field.
