Introduction to 3D Printing

Why print in 2 dimensions when you can print in 3! In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of operating the Maker Hub's FDM 3D printers. This includes setting up the printer for a job, using the 3D printer software, changing filament, basic calibration and troubleshooting. Participants will also learn about various open-source 3D model sharing sites. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have all the skills necessary to use the Maker Hub's 3D printers. Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules: https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/safety.
