Introduction to Bookbinding

Have you ever wanted to make your own soft cover journal, zine, or booklet? In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of bookbinding with the Maker Hub's cutters, presses, and binding equipment. This includes how to use an awl guide, selecting a thread for binding, and how to saddle stitch pages together. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have all the skills necessary to set out on bookbinding of their own! Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules: https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/safety.
