Learn Sewing with Maker Hub Volunteers

Do you need a reusable bag to bring to the grocery store? Or maybe a drawstring bag to hold your keys and wallet? In this workshop you'll learn the basics of sewing from experienced Maker Hub Volunteers! During this 1.5-hour workshop, Bea Scanlon (class of '25) and Ryn Slack (class of '24) will help you construct a small sewing project of your choosing. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have all the skills necessary to set out on sewing projects of their own! Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules: https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/safety.
