Lauinger Library can assist in providing access to essential readings and media for your courses through digital and physically owned library materials. Services for faculty and instructors include:

  • Digitizing selected book chapters and journal articles. These PDFs will then be delivered to instructors via Box, and instructors can add them to Canvas or distribute.
  • Providing permalinks to ebooks in the Library catalog that faculty can add in Canvas.
  • Providing streaming media via licensed services directly to a course’s Canvas page.
  • Placing physical books, CDs, and DVDs on reserve for student use. You may select short-term loan periods (2 hours, 4 hours, 24 hours, or 72 hours) to ensure your students have enough time to use the materials.

While you can make requests for reserves at any time, we encourage you to submit your requests as soon as you can. For more information and to place requests, please visit our Course Reserves page. You can also email reserves@georgetown.edu for information or assistance.
