Request Your Spring Course Reserves Now

The Spring semester will be here before you know it, and the Library can help you prepare readings and assignments for your courses. We can:

  • Place books, CDs, and DVDs on reserve for short-term loans for student use. You may select short-term loan periods from 2 to 72 hours to ensure your students have enough time to use the materials. Reserves for physical items will resume for the fall semester, but may be requested now.
  • Scan selected book chapters and journal articles as PDFs using optical character recognition. These PDFs can be delivered to instructors in Box, and instructors can add them to Canvas or distribute them in other ways. Once delivered, these PDFs can be used in future semesters.
  • Provide permalinks to ebooks in the Library catalog that faculty can add in Canvas.
  • Provide streaming media via licensed services directly to a course’s Canvas page.

We encourage you to submit your requests as soon as possible, and remind you that additional reserves can be added throughout the semester. Learn more about the reserves services we offer and copyright policies. You can also email reserves@georgetown.edu for information or assistance.
