Learn to mend, upcycle, and personalize your fabric garments with this hands-on, meditative activity at the Makerhub. In this workshop, you will learn the traditional mending process of Sashiko and give new life to your holey or torn jackets, pants, bags, etc. If you want to learn how to repair and appreciate your possessions, this “no-wrong-answers” workshop is for you. Slow down and tune in to this simple stitching technique with your friends at the MakerHub.
No experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Bring your own fabric-based garments with holes or tears you wish to repair, reinforce or personalize.
For all Maker Hub workshops, participants must wear closed-toed shoes in addition to following all other Maker Hub rules.
