Congratulations, Class of 2022

Graduates in front of the Hoya Saxa sign on Healy Lawn

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 on your graduation! The Library has been honored to support you during your time on the Hilltop. We look forward to continuing to support you and your intellectual pursuits after you have graduated.

Research After Graduation

Georgetown has offered you many great research resources, and you have spent years honing the skills you need to use them. But what happens when you graduate? This guide, which was created for a joint Common $ense and Library workshop on Research After Graduation, pulls together some suggestions for refining your searches on the open web and leveraging that skill to find freely available resources and tools that will be helpful to you and your research.

Library Events

The Library hosts a number of events every year, building a community of Hoyas, faculty, alumni, and community members who seek to continue their journey of lifelong learning. Recent speakers have included former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, Chair of the Federal Reserve Janet Yellen, Man Booker Prize-Winning Author George Saunders, world-renowned author and activist Father James Martin, S.J., and others. The Library will post the schedule for Fall 2022 events in August—we look forward to seeing you!

Access to Databases

Georgetown alumni have access to a number of abstracts and full-text articles in a wide range of selected Library databases and tools, including Project MUSE, Mergent InvestorEdge, and RefWorks. These resources are available to alumni using your Georgetown University NetID and password.

Borrowing Privileges

Georgetown alumni who become Library Associates at the Sustainer level or above may borrow books from the Library, in addition to receiving other benefits. Students who graduate from Main Campus in 2022 receive temporary borrowing privileges through December 31, 2022.
