Digital Scholarship Services Consolidated within New Unit

The Library is excited to announce that the Gelardin New Media Center and digital scholarship services have been consolidated and merged into the new Digital Scholarship Services Unit.

The Digital Scholarship Services Unit, located in the Gelardin Center and other areas on the first floor of Lauinger, will continue to provide the services and expertise that the Library has developed over the years—including support for video production and podcasting, digital projects and exhibits, data visualization and digital mapping, digitization, virtual and augmented reality, and material fabrication with maker equipment.

The newly integrated Unit will advance the Library’s capacity to support digitally-enhanced scholarship as we increase opportunities for the Georgetown community to develop digital skills, experiment with emerging technologies, and expand the maker community.

If you have questions about this transition or need support with your digital work, please email digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu. We also invite you to schedule a digital project consultation with us to learn more about incorporating digital tools and technology into your teaching, learning, and research.
