Join Harriette Hemmasi, Dean of Libraries and the Library Associates for the Annual Casey-McIlvane Memorial Lecture on Thursday, April 11 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Pierce Reading Room, Lauinger Library, 3rd Floor.
This year's event will feature award-winning author George Saunders who will discuss the intersectionality between Catholicism, Buddhism and writing as well as his 2017 book, Lincoln in the Bardo. Copies of Lincoln in the Bardo will be available for purchase at the end of the event.

The Casey·McIlvane Lecture Fund was established in 1997 by Roseanne McIlvane Casey G'79 and Nancy McIlvane Del Genio F'82, in memory of Francis L. Casey, Jr., C’50, L’53, and in honor of the Reverend Donald W. McIlvane, F’46. It supports an annual lecture reflecting the academic disciplines currently taught at Georgetown University and the mission of the Society of Jesus.
