Join the Library in the Big Apple on October 26 for this year’s Annual Casey-McIlvane Memorial Lecture! Reverend John W. O’Malley, S.J. will be discussing The Jesuits and the Popes: A Historical Sketch of Their Relationship. Father O’Malley, a Professor in the Theology Department specializes in the history of religious culture in early modern Europe, especially Italy. We are excited to get a first look at his newest title!

The Casey-McIlvane Endowed Library Lecture Fund was established in memory of Francis L. Casey, Jr., C’50, L’53, and in honor of the Reverend Donald W. McIlvane, F’46 through the generous joint gift of Nancy McIlvane Del Genio, F’82 and the late Roseanne McIlvane Casey, S’79. In previous years the lecture has featured many esteemed speakers including Professor Bárbara Mujica, Professor Carolyn L. Forché, and Professor Duncan Wu.
