On April 30, 2025, Georgetown students, faculty, and staff gathered in Lauinger Library’s Maker Hub to show off the impressive projects they had created using tools and materials in the campus makerspace during the past year.

The Maker Hub provides access to tools, equipment, and resources that Hoyas can use to assist in their academic research and assignments as well as their own creative projects. This year’s showcase included a dress made out of sheet music, a fully-functional wooden pinball machine, a massive sword, and handmade clothing.

The event also included tote bag screen printing, a VR experience, and a celebration for graduating students who had volunteered to maintain the space and help their fellow Hoyas bring their creations to life.
