Abortion in America: The Future of Roe v. Wade

On December 1, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a case concerning a Mississippi law that bans abortions after fifteen weeks of pregnancy. The law contradicts Roe v. Wade, which prohibits states from banning abortions before fetal viability at approximately twenty-three weeks. In one of the most anticipated rulings in modern history, the Supreme Court may choose to overturn the decades-long precedent of Roe. This project explores that possibility by spotlighting visitors to the Supreme Court steps.
