Georgetown Laser Journals

A set of journals with laser-cut wooden covers, featuring the architecture of Georgetown University's main campus. This project started with Lauinger Library’s 50th anniversary, when the Maker Hub was asked to create some kind of personalized gift that could be given to commemorate the occasion. Following several months of work, we created a laser-cut journal that had a stylized design of Lau engraved on the cover. Afterwards, a dear friend and mentor asked if I could make one of Healy Hall for her. I had free time and decided to try some more buildings and, voila, these journals were born. Each of the four undergraduate schools are represented in addition to one for the whole campus
