"It's a Great Camp For Us All": A Musical History of Midwest Chinese Family Camp

This StoryMap was created in tandem with my American Studies thesis research. This StoryMap presents the history of camp (and the history of 20th century Chinese immigration) through the lens of musical traditions at camp, from the 1950s through the 1980s. It features archival video footage and photographs from those decades at camp, as well as commentary on how the traditions evolved over time and how they were tied to broader trends in Chinese American life.
