The District Wharf, which opened in 2017 after three years of construction, represents a lot: an extension of the urban redevelopment that has consumed DC over the past generation; a chance for local businesses to reach wider audiences than ever before; and a potential bridging of communities in a geographical hot spot within the city. This film draws upon various perspectives to construct an overall sense of the many ways in which the Wharf will prove to be a significant addition to the Washington landscape.
