The Maker Hub routinely holds events and workshops designed to expose visitors to new tools and technology, encourage creative thinking, and share collaborative ideas.
Workshops
We learn best when we learn together! Come learn a new tool or technique in the Maker Hub! Introductory workshops are optional, but recommended for first-time users. All workshops are first-come first-serve, and some may be capped due to limited resources. Though some workshops tend to fill up, please remember that you're always welcome to drop by the Maker Hub during our open hours to learn from our talented staff and volunteer community.
Events
The Maker Hub also hosts events which are less geared towards learning new skills and more focused on cultivating our wonderful community of makers. Often these occur near special events or holidays, such as a costume making event around Halloween or a card making event before Valentines Day.
Do you have a workshop or event you want to run with the Maker Hub? Please contact us at makerhub@georgetown.edu to set up your own event!
