Policies for Instruction Spaces

  • Library instruction spaces can only be used for classes and university-sponsored clubs and organizations; if you do not meet these requirements please see the other spaces available to book
  • Class bookings must be made by the instructor, students may book the space for university-sponsored clubs and organizations only
  • At least 4 people must be in the class or club; if you have fewer people, please book one of our group study spaces instead
  • Library instruction spaces are not CETS supported and there is no on-demand tech support available
  • We recommend stopping in to check out the space before your reservation and setting up a consult if you need any help or have questions
  • You must reset the space before you leave: return any furniture you moved, wipe off whiteboards (including the whiteboard tables in the Idea Lab), log-off computer(s), and turn off the projector, if used
  • No food or uncovered drinks are permitted
  • You must ensure doors remain closed, as all Library instruction spaces are in close proximity to study spaces and staff offices and we need to control sound as much as possible
  • If you need specialized software, please confirm it is installed in the space you are booking in advance of your class or meeting
  • Current University guidance on classroom mask use must be followed
